Several regions in the Philippines are expected to experience rainy weather due to the trough of a Low-Pressure Area (LPA), the state weather bureau reported on Saturday.
According to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA), the LPA was located approximately 960 kilometers east of southeastern Luzon as of 3:00 a.m.
The extension or trough of the weather system is expected to bring cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms across several areas, including:
- Bicol Region
- Eastern Visayas
- Central Visayas
- Quezon
- Marinduque
Meanwhile, Metro Manila and the rest of the country are anticipated to experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies, with localized thunderstorms bringing isolated rain showers.
PAGASA added that light to moderate winds will prevail across the entire archipelago, accompanied by slight to moderate sea conditions.
