President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. lauded members of the Philippine Robotics National Team (PRNT) for their success in international robotics competitions, encouraging them to continue innovating and creating technologies that can contribute to national development.
During a courtesy visit to Malacañang on Wednesday, the President recognized the young innovators for their accomplishments on the global stage and for bringing pride to the Philippines through their award-winning projects and inventions.

Marcos urged the students to remain steadfast in pursuing their ideas despite challenges and setbacks they may encounter along the way.
“Once you get an idea, don’t let go of it because it really matters. Stay with it even when it gets hard, even when you lose spirit for a little while. Stay with it.. and it will all be worth the effort.”
He also encouraged them to continue harnessing their skills and creativity to develop innovations that can improve the lives of Filipinos.
“You’re young and you have a long way to go. So keep going, and in that way, you improve the ease of living here in the Philippines for your countrymen.”

As part of the event, the President observed demonstrations of several student-developed technologies, including SYLAX, an assistive mobility device designed for children with cerebral palsy; TUKLAS, a system intended to help archaeologists locate and document cultural artifacts; and FRANCIS, an artificial intelligence-powered companion robot capable of assisting households and detecting emergencies.
Marcos also personally interacted with the students and tested TUKLAS’ robotic arm to better understand its functions and potential applications.
Congratulating the delegation, the President highlighted the ability of Filipinos to compete and excel on the international stage.

“Congratulations to everyone…Well done. Siyempre naman talagang napapakita muli na ang Pilipino ay kayang makipagsabayan kahit saan, kahit kanino.”
He added:
“Nakita naman natin how capable Filipinos are, how dedicated they are, and how hardworking they are… Filipino talent has shone through.”
The Philippine Robotics National Team serves as the country’s official representative in various international robotics and innovation competitions. The team is composed of students aged seven and above who have distinguished themselves in prestigious events such as the World Robot Olympiad and the FIRST LEGO League.
Also present during the courtesy call were officials of FELTA Multi-Media Inc., led by President and Chief Executive Officer Mylene Abiva, who introduced the student awardees to the President. The organization is recognized for helping promote robotics education in Philippine schools for more than two decades.
The awardees represented educational institutions from different parts of the country, including Batangas State University Integrated School, Top Link Global College, Dr. Yanga’s Colleges Inc., De La Salle Santiago Zobel School, Legazpi City Science High School, IBALON Elementary School, and Jubilee Christian Academy.
Their achievements underscore the growing strength of Filipino students in robotics, science, technology, and innovation, further showcasing the country’s competitiveness in international competitions.
