The Senate Impeachment Court has officially distributed the pre-trial order to both the House prosecution panel and the defense team of Vice President Sara Duterte.
According to Senate Secretary and Impeachment Court Clerk of Court Renato Bantug Jr., the directive was initially “released to the parties by electronic mail” while physical, printed versions of the document would be “hand delivered.”
The issuance of the order follows a pre-trial conference that took place from June 18 to 25.
Serving as the primary blueprint for the upcoming proceedings, the document outlines the framework agreed upon by both legal teams.
It details crucial trial elements, including the schedule of trial dates, the list of witnesses, marked pieces of evidence, and agreed-upon stipulations of facts.
The formal impeachment trial is set to begin on Monday, July 6.
