Former Senator Antonio Trillanes IV has alleged that Senator Christopher “Bong” Go is the next official in the crosshairs of the International Criminal Court (ICC), following the unsealing of a warrant for Senator Bato dela Rosa.
Trillanes claimed to have received intelligence that Go will be tagged as a co-conspirator of former President Rodrigo Duterte in cases involving crimes against humanity, murder, and attempted murder.
“Ang susunod po ay Senator Bong Go…pero para maliwanag baka buwan pa ang bibilangin nito.”
According to Trillanes, Go was reported to the international tribunal for his alleged role in the “National Death Squad.”
The former senator alleged that Go acted as the leader of a “Special Operations Group” responsible for distributing financial rewards for assassinations during the height of the administration’s drug war.
“Ito yung pagbabayad o pagiging accountable…noong namamayagpag sila, wala silang pakialam sa buhay ng Pilipino. Ito na, singilan na ito.”
While acknowledging that the judicial process may take months, Trillanes expressed certainty that the warrant would be finalized. He also noted that former Philippine National Police chief Oscar Albayalde is likely among those facing potential ICC action.
As of press time, neither Go nor Albayalde has issued a formal response to the allegations.
