VP SARA AFFIRMS OVP’S COMMITMENT TO PUBLIC SERVICE AMID POLITICAL CRITICISM

Vice President Sara Duterte declared that ongoing political hostility directed at her office has not slowed down its nationwide service delivery.

This statement coincided with the launch of the week-long virtual recognition program, PASIDUNGOG 2026, which honors various sectors and stakeholders that partnered with the Office of the Vice President (OVP) from 2022 to 2025.

Duterte expressed deep gratitude to local government units, private groups, volunteers, and civil society organizations for their steadfast cooperation, emphasizing that their collective effort has successfully brought government assistance directly to marginalized communities.

“Every life we uplift is the fruit of your unwavering belief in the OVP’s core mission,” Duterte said. “With every helping hand we extend, we bring comfort to families, revitalize communities, nurture dreams, and build a stronger Philippines,” she added.

The Vice President maintained that despite facing institutional hurdles and intense scrutiny, the agency remains resolute in fulfilling its mandate.

She framed the recognition event as a testament to public service rising above partisan friction.

“This year’s Pasidungog fuels a much stronger resolve and an even greater determination to continue our legacy of service—one that speaks through action and stands firm above the noise of politics,” Duterte said. “Every milestone we reached became possible due to the steadfast dedication of our partners and stakeholders,” she added.

Addressing the continuous scrutiny, Duterte asserted that the OVP’s focus remains untarnished by external political maneuvers.

“Sa kabila ng mga hamon, ng walang-humpay na pamumulitika, at ng mga paninira, nanatili tayong matapang at tapat sa ating misyon na ilapit ang serbisyo ng gobyerno sa bawat Pilipino, lalo na sa mga higit na nangangailangan,” Duterte said.
