SEOUL, South Korea — South Korean actor Koo Kyo-hwan, widely recognized for his performances in the series “D.P.” and the horror film “Colony,” has officially registered his marriage with acclaimed filmmaker Lee Ok-seop.
The actor’s management agency, Namoo Actors, confirmed on October 1 that the long-time couple completed their marriage registration in 2022, establishing their status as legally wedded under South Korean law.
“Koo Kyo-hwan and director Lee Ok-seop have long trusted and relied on each other as partners; they registered their marriage in 2022 and became husband and wife,” the agency said.
The couple first crossed paths in 2013 before publicly going relationship-official in 2020, eventually formalizing their union two years later.
Namoo Actors added that the two opted out of hosting a traditional wedding ceremony and currently maintain no plans for a separate celebration.
“We ask for your warm blessings and support for their future as they continue to be a source of strength for one another,” Namoo Actors said. “Koo Kyo-hwan and director Lee Ok-seop will continue to strive to greet the public with great projects in their respective fields.”
