Actress and social media personality Alex Gonzaga announced that she is pregnant with her first child with her husband, Lipa City Vice Mayor Mikee Morada, after years of battling infertility and enduring multiple miscarriages.
The couple, who tied the knot in 2020, shared the milestone in an emotional video posted on social media. The vlog chronicled Gonzaga’s pregnancy journey and highlighted the unwavering support of their families through years of private heartbreak.
In her post, the actress opened up about the grueling emotional toll of their six-year relationship, which included a miscarriage in 2021 and another pregnancy loss in 2023.
“After almost six years of marriage and three heartbreaking losses, we never lost faith and continued to surrender everything to the Lord,” Gonzaga wrote in her social media caption.
Gonzaga further revealed that the pregnancy came as a surprise. The couple was already actively preparing to undergo in vitro fertilization (IVF) treatments when they discovered they had conceived naturally.
“While preparing for IVF, the Lord Jesus blessed us with a natural pregnancy. We want to thank everyone who prayed with us, hoped with us, and supported us through this journey to becoming parents,” she said.
The video also featured Gonzaga proudly showing her growing baby bump. Amid the celebration, the expectant mother asked the public for continued support as she navigates her current pregnancy.
“The Lord Jesus truly answers prayers. Please continue praying with us for a safe and healthy pregnancy until our baby arrives,“ she added.
Throughout their marriage, Gonzaga and Morada have been vocal about their journey toward parenthood, often using their platform to destigmatize fertility challenges while leaning heavily on their faith and inner circle.
