Fresh off her historic victory on the global stage, America’s Got Talent Season 20 winner Jessica Sanchez is officially bringing her music back to where it all began, dedicating her highly anticipated homecoming concert to her loyal Filipino fanbase.
Titled Jessica Sanchez: Live in Manila, the special musical event is scheduled to take place on May 16 at the historic Smart Araneta Coliseum.
During a recent media conference, the powerhouse vocalist expressed that the upcoming show is a heartfelt tribute to the people who have championed her career from the very beginning.
“It’s gonna be a very special night. It’s an opportunity for me to give back to everybody that supported me throughout the years and also the release of my album Szn and my song ‘Stronger Than Before’ with Morissette.”
The concert promises a star-studded lineup of collaborations. Sanchez revealed that she will be sharing the stage with some of the biggest names in the Philippine entertainment industry, including Vice Ganda, Regine Velasquez, Gary Valenciano, Martin Nievera, Morissette Amon, James Reid, and Darren Espanto.
“I have a whole list of people whom I really, really wanted to be guests on the show and my whole list got approved and it happened. This is gonna be amazing.”
To make the evening even more personal for the local audience, Sanchez teased that she has been preparing a few musical surprises that embrace her Filipino heritage.
“For this concert, I will be singing Tagalog. I have to because I’m here in the Philippines and it is for all the Filipino people who have supported me.”
The concert also serves as a celebration of her latest music, including her brand-new album Szn and her freshly released collaborative track, “Stronger Than Before.” Speaking about the duet, Sanchez shared that working alongside Asia’s Phoenix had been a long-standing goal of hers.
“I reached out to Morissette. I always, always admire her talent and her voice as well as her as a person because she is the sweetest. I really, really wanted to work with her so I chatted with her and I asked her if she wanted to do a song together and she said yes.”
