Maynilad Water Services, Inc. is scheduled to deploy desludging teams across several Manila barangays this August to maintain household septic tanks as part of its ongoing sanitation campaign.
The scheduled operations will target communities in Port Area, Quiapo, San Miguel, San Nicolas, Sta. Cruz, and Sta. Mesa. Maynilad advised residents to confirm their community’s inclusion by checking official social media channels, visiting the company website, or reaching out to local barangay officers.
Households with septic tanks that have not been desludged by Maynilad within the last five years are eligible for the free service. Residents within the active August coverage zones do not need to book individual appointments, as Maynilad teams will conduct door-to-door visits directly.
Customers outside the August coverage zones whose septic tanks are due for maintenance can still request servicing by calling Hotline 1626 or filling out the online request form, with visits scheduled upon review and confirmation.
Maynilad reminded the public that community operations follow a strict monthly schedule and urged eligible residents to take advantage of the service when teams visit their area.
The utility provider emphasized that the desludging program supports broader wastewater management goals, with costs already covered under monthly customer billing.
