NHA BREAKS GROUND ON ₱25M HOUSING PROJECT IN DAVAO ORIENTAL

The National Housing Authority in Davao Region (NHA-11) has officially launched the construction of 42 housing units under its Bahay Pag-asa Housing Program in Governor Generoso, Davao Oriental.

The agency held a groundbreaking ceremony for the project on Wednesday, September 9, according to a official statement released Thursday.

The ₱25-million development, funded through the NHA’s Resettlement Assistance Program to Local Government Units (RAP-LGU), is situated on a four-hectare property in Purok 4 Eden, Barangay Manuel Roxas. The initiative aims to provide permanent homes for members of the Pinasagan Neighborhood Farmers and Fisherfolk Association, who previously lived as informal settlers.

”The beneficiaries will finally have a place of their own to live. My only request is to cherish and take good care of the housing units we have provided,” said NHA-11 Assistant General Manager Alvin Feliciano.

The RAP-LGU program operates through a partnership between the NHA and local governments to fund critical resettlement efforts. The Bahay Pag-asa initiative specifically targets families residing in dangerous areas, informal settlers, and communities displaced by government infrastructure or natural disasters.
