PBA POSTPONES AUGUST 9 GAMES DUE TO SEVERE WEATHER

​The Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) suspended its scheduled games on Sunday, August 9, as a precaution against severe weather conditions.

​Prioritizing the safety of spectators, athletes, and league personnel, the league confirmed the delay across its official channels.

​“In light of the severe weather conditions, and with the safety of our fans, players, officials, and staff as our top priority, the PBA has decided to postpone its Sunday, August 9 games,” the league stated.

​The affected matchups include the clash between the Phoenix Super LPG Fuelmasters and the Rain or Shine Elasto Painters, as well as the game featuring Barangay Ginebra San Miguel against the Blackwater Bossing.

​League officials advised the public to remain safe during the inclement weather and noted that makeup dates will be shared soon.

Once rescheduled, coverage will be available on free TV via RPTV Channel 9, pay TV through PBA Rush, and streaming via Pilipinas Live and Cignal Play.
