South Korean actor So Ji Sub is set to reconnect with his Filipino fans as he returns to Manila this November for a fan meeting, marking his first visit to the Philippines in seven years.
His agency, 51K, announced Monday that So Ji Sub will hold the event on November 5 at the New Frontier Theater.
The actor last visited Manila in 2019 as part of his “Hello” Asia Tour, with the Philippine capital serving as the tour’s final stop.
His upcoming Manila appearance is part of the five-city Asian tour “Soulmate The Timeless,” which will also visit Macau, Taipei, Jakarta and Bangkok.
According to 51K, the tour’s title reflects the lasting connection between the actor and his fans, whose support has remained strong throughout his career.
Fans attending the Manila event can expect So Ji Sub to talk about his recent projects and share behind-the-scenes stories, while the program will also include live stage performances.
The fan meeting follows the success of his latest drama, “Agent Kim Reactivated,” in which he played Manager Kim.
The series posted a peak 23% rating in South Korea, according to 51K. The agency also said the drama topped Netflix’s Global Non-English TV Shows chart and entered the streaming platform’s Top 10 in 73 countries.
So Ji Sub has starred in several well-known Korean dramas and films, including “I’m Sorry, I Love You,” “Master’s Sun,” “Oh My Venus” and “My Secret, Terrius.”
Tickets for the Manila fan meeting will go on sale to the general public on September 18 at 12 noon through TicketNet and its authorized outlets.
