TAGUIG CITY POLICE ARRESTS ALL INDIVIDUALS ON SEPTEMBER TOP WANTED LIST

TAGUIG CITY — Local law enforcement authorities successfully apprehended all ten individuals listed on the city’s top wanted list for September, aligning with the Philippine National Police leadership’s continuous drive to track down and capture fugitives from justice.

Authorities emphasized the critical importance of rounding up wanted suspects, noting that they frequently turn out to be repeat offenders or individuals implicated in multiple criminal offenses.

Police Col. Julius Añonuevo, chief of the Taguig City Police Station, reported that the captured suspects face a variety of serious criminal charges, including murder, statutory rape, robbery, theft, illegal possession of firearms and ammunition, and drug-related offenses.

“Behind every warrant is a case that needs to move forward. Our duty is to find those wanted by the courts so they can answer the charges against them and the people affected can pursue justice,” said Añonuevo.

Añonuevo commended his personnel for carrying out aggressive operations that successfully maintained the police force’s strong operational track record from previous months.

Furthermore, the city police chief expressed gratitude for the backing of the local government unit under the leadership of Mayor Lani Cayetano, who provided essential resources and support systems to aid the local police department.

“Mayor Lani Cayetano recognizes that public safety requires the police and the community to work together. We appreciate her support as we build residents’ trust and encourage them to help us prevent and solve crimes,” stated Añonuevo.

Looking ahead, Añonuevo pledged that the local police will maintain their momentum by tracking down remaining individuals with outstanding warrants, tightening coordination with other law enforcement units, and vigorously pursuing intelligence leads to ensure fugitives face the courts.

“The Taguig police will continue pursuing persons with outstanding warrants to sustain the results in the coming months,” Añonuevo added.
