Viva Communications top executive Vic del Rosario Jr. has addressed speculations regarding the status of AshDres, clarifying that the pairing of rising stars Andres Muhlach and Ashtine Olviga is far from over.
In a brief interview, del Rosario explained that while joint projects are still in the pipeline, the tandem is currently on a “pause” to allow both artists to strengthen their individual careers.
He drew a parallel between their current path and the strategy used by the popular DonBelle tandem—Donny Pangilinan and Belle Mariano—who briefly prioritized solo growth to solidify their respective brands.
“Oo naman magkakaroon yan, baka, soon, soon. Hindi, parang ano lang DonBelle, pause lang, pause lang,” saad ni del Rosario.
At present, both stars are concentrated on personal milestones. Andres recently concluded his stint in the theater production Bagets: The Musical, while Ashtine is preparing for her debut solo concert, Love Like Ashtine, scheduled for August 22.
Despite the temporary hiatus as a duo, fans can still expect the pair to reunite on screen. They are slated to film the second part of Ang Mutya ng Section E Season 2, with the production schedule currently being finalized.
