Kenji Ohba, the legendary Japanese actor and stunt performer best known for his iconic role as Retsu Ichijouji in Space Sheriff Gavan, has passed away at the age of 71.

Born Kenji Takahashi on February 5, 1955, in Ehime Prefecture, Ohba rose from suit actor and stuntman to become one of the defining figures of Japanese tokusatsu entertainment during the 1970s and 1980s.
