JAPAN’S POPULAR KARAOKE MANEKINEKO CHAIN HEADING TO PASAY IN 2027

Japanese entertainment giant KOSHIDAKA HOLDINGS Co., Ltd. (TSE Prime: 2157) has announced the official entry of its popular karaoke chain KARAOKE MANEKINEKO into the Philippine market, with its debut branch set to open in Pasay City by Spring 2027.

Bringing Japanese-Style Karaoke to Metro Manila

The pioneer Philippine outlet, KARAOKE MANEKINEKO Pasay, will be situated in a bustling commercial district of Pasay City, targeting business professionals, corporate clients, families, and leisure seekers. Renowned across Asia for its family-friendly cat mascot and modern private room experience, the brand aims to introduce its signature Japanese-style karaoke to the heart of Metro Manila.

Unlike traditional local karaoke lounges, KARAOKE MANEKINEKO emphasizes bright, clean, and vibrant private rooms equipped with high-quality sound systems, interactive song selection consoles, and an all-you-can-drink soft drink and snack bar service.

Local Subsidiary and Nationwide Expansion Strategy

The move is facilitated through Koshidaka Philippines Inc., established in February 2025 and headquartered in Metro Manila as the official local operating entity.

The launch follows a major ₱2.5-billion investment pledge previously discussed with the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI). KOSHIDAKA HOLDINGS envisions the Pasay City branch as the gateway for a massive nationwide rollout, with long-term plans to open between 30 and 100 locations across the country. Beyond karaoke, the parent company is also exploring opportunities to introduce its other lifestyle offerings to the Philippine market, including women-focused fitness centers and traditional Japanese onsen facilities.

Karaoke is deeply ingrained in Philippine culture, serving as a staple for family gatherings, social celebrations, and post-work leisure. By entering the market, KOSHIDAKA HOLDINGS aims to merge the Philippines’ passion for singing with Japan’s premium, family-oriented karaoke hospitality model.

With over 600 locations in Japan and a growing footprint across Malaysia, Thailand, Singapore, and Indonesia, KARAOKE MANEKINEKO’s arrival in Metro Manila signals a major expansion for Southeast Asia’s thriving entertainment landscape.
