ABS-CBN EXPANDS GLOBAL REACH THROUGH RAKUTEN VIKI PARTNERSHIP

ABS-CBN is expanding its international footprint by making several of its popular television titles available on Rakuten Viki, streaming to over 200 countries and territories across the Americas, Europe, Oceania, the Middle East, and Southeast Asia.

To cater to a diverse global audience, the shows feature subtitles in English, Spanish, Portuguese, and French. The reach of these programs is projected to widen further through Viki’s community-driven subtitling initiative, which relies on a global network of volunteers.

The content lineup is headlined by the Filipino adaptation of the hit series “It’s Okay to Not Be Okay,” starring Anne Curtis, Joshua Garcia, and Carlo Aquino. Also included in the release are the first and second seasons of the popular teen romance series “He’s Into Her,” featuring the love team of Donny Pangilinan and Belle Mariano.

This collaboration strengthens ABS-CBN’s presence on Rakuten Viki, a premier streaming platform for Asian entertainment that boasts over 120 million registered users worldwide. Alongside the entertainment platform Soompi, the partnership aims to connect ABS-CBN content more deeply with global fandom communities.

Currently, ABS-CBN Entertainment holds the title of the most subscribed media and entertainment YouTube channel in Southeast Asia, commanding 54.8 million subscribers.

Facilitated by ABS-CBN’s International Sales Division, the deal aligns with the media company’s ongoing strategy to scale its presence across international streaming, broadcast, and digital platforms.

To date, ABS-CBN has exported over 50,000 hours of content to more than 50 countries, continuing its mission to showcase Filipino storytelling and talent on the global stage.
