GMA Network has maintained its position as the top news source in the Philippines across both traditional media and digital platforms, according to the 2026 Digital News Report published by the Reuters Institute for the Study of Journalism.

In the traditional media category—which spans television, radio, and print—GMA Network secured the highest weekly reach at 48 percent. The network’s leading audience share is driven by its prominent broadcasts, including the flagship news program 24 Oras, the late-night newscast Saksi, and supplementary news programming on its sister channel, GTV.

ABS-CBN followed in second place, capturing a 41 percent weekly reach. The Philippine Daily Inquirer and TV5/News5 tied for third place at 22 percent, while the Manila Bulletin and The Philippine Star both registered an 18 percent reach.

The study also tracked radio news consumption. DZMM Radyo Patrol 630/TeleRadyo, managed by ABS-CBN and Prime Media Holdings, led the radio segment with a 15 percent weekly reach. Various other regional and local radio news stations combined for 14 percent, followed by GMA Network’s flagship AM station, Super Radyo DZBB, at 10 percent.

Rounding out the traditional media survey, Balita obtained 9 percent, and the Bilyonaryo News Channel reached 8 percent. BBC News, DZRH News, and free alternative weekly newspapers each captured 7 percent, while Radyo Pilipinas and Abante/Abante Tonight both concluded with 6 percent.

In the digital landscape, GMA News Online retained its status as the leading digital news platform in the country for the sixth consecutive year, recording a 49 percent weekly usage rate since first taking the top spot in 2021.
