MANILA, Philippines — The competition among domestic entertainment producers on digital platforms continues to intensify as Filipino studios increasingly tailor content for online audiences.
In line with this digital shift, local television and film productions are gaining broader reach on streaming platforms like Netflix, expanding beyond traditional broadcast schedules and theatrical releases.
Joining this digital migration, GMA Network is introducing two of its drama series, “Never Say Die” and “House of Lies,” to Netflix Philippines in October.
”Never Say Die,” produced by the GMA Entertainment Group, is scheduled to launch on the platform on October 5. Starring Jillian Ward and David Licauco, the action drama follows Joey (Ward), whose path crosses with cynical investigative journalist Andrew (Licauco). Together, they navigate a high-stakes search for truth involving public corruption, illicit drug networks, and dark secrets within their own families.
The series features an ensemble cast, including Richard Yap, South Korean actor Kim Ji Soo, Angelu de Leon, Raymart Santiago, Winwyn Marquez, Analyn Barro, Raheel Bhyria, Wendell Ramos, Ayen Munji-Laurel, and Gina Alajar.
Following later in the month, “House of Lies” will begin streaming on October 19. Also produced by GMA Entertainment Group, the drama centers on Marjorie (Beauty Gonzalez) and Althea (Kris Bernal), two women driven by ambition and protective instincts whose lives become entangled in deceit and betrayal.
The supporting cast for “House of Lies” includes Mike Tan, Martin del Rosario, Jackie Lou Blanco, Lito Pimentel, Snooky Serna, Kayla Davies, Angel Cadao, Geo Mhanna, Kokoy de Santos, Tanya Gomez, Patricia Tumulak, and Gee Canlas.
