The highly anticipated pageant-inspired segment “Miss Q and A” is making a comeback on the ABS-CBN noontime variety program “It’s Showtime” after nearly four years.
Host Vice Ganda recently confirmed the revival of the fan-favorite competition.
Initially launched in July 2017 under Vice Ganda’s leadership, the segment deviated from traditional beauty pageants by placing a primary focus on the question-and-answer portion. Contestants were famously challenged with unconventional, humorous, and thought-provoking questions that tested their wit, creativity, and confidence.
Before going on hiatus, the segment completed three successful seasons, concluding its most recent run in 2022—two years after ABS-CBN’s broadcast franchise renewal was denied.
Over the years, the competition served as a launching pad for several personalities who gained mainstream recognition, including comedians Brenda Mage, Mitch Montecarlo Suansane, and Juliana Parizcova Segovia.
Auditions for the new season are currently underway. The revived segment is reportedly slated to replace “Tawag ng Tanghalan,” the show’s iconic singing competition which is currently wrapping up its 10th year.
“It’s Showtime” airs from Monday to Saturday at noon across multiple platforms, including the Kapamilya Channel, Kapamilya Online Live, iWant, TFC, GMA Pinoy TV, Kapuso Stream, GMA-7, A2Z, and ALLTV.
