Star Cinema’s latest romantic drama, Tayo Sa Wakas, maintains its strong momentum at the local box office, pulling in more than ₱110 million since it premiered in theaters on May 27.
The film stars the highly popular ABS-CBN screen partners Donny Pangilinan and Belle Mariano, widely recognized by fans as “DonBelle.” With its current earnings, the feature has secured its spot as the second highest-grossing Filipino movie of the year.
It follows behind VIVA Films’ romantic drama The Loved One, starring Jericho Rosales and Anne Curtis, which currently leads the annual box office with ticket sales exceeding ₱300 million.
Directed by Cathy Garcia-Sampana, Tayo Sa Wakas follows the journey of Cisco and Cheska, a long-term couple forced to navigate the growing emotional distance between them as their individual career ambitions pull them toward separate paths.
Building on its commercial success in the Philippines, the production is scheduled to expand its reach to global audiences.
International screenings are set to begin in Hong Kong on June 21, followed by releases in Singapore and Malaysia on June 25, and Taiwan on July 10. The film is also slated for a theatrical run in Macau in the coming weeks.
Prior to these upcoming Asian releases, Tayo Sa Wakas already launched across several overseas markets, including the United States, Canada, Guam, Australia, New Zealand, and various territories in the Middle East.
