MANILA — Comedy heavyweights and noontime icons Vice Ganda and Vic Sotto have finally treated moviegoers to a first look at their historic big-screen collaboration in the official teaser for the upcoming Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) entry, The Greatest Showdown.
The much-anticipated project unites two of the country’s biggest box-office stars under the direction of award-winning filmmaker Jun Robles Lana. The teaser introduces a star-studded supporting cast divided into two distinct camps.
Vice’s family features Ruby Ruiz, actress Iyah Mina, and Pinoy Big Brother big winners Fyang Smith and Brent Manalo, while Vic’s side stars fellow comedian Jose Manalo, Ryzza Mae Dizon, Pinoy Big Brother alumnus JM Ibarra, and singer Klarisse De Guzman.
The promotional clip also offers fans an upbeat preview of the movie’s soundtrack, highlighting the hit cover song “Ikembot Mo” by Baby Dolls.
Released by the production outfits Star Cinema, The IdeaFirst Company, and APT Entertainment, the teaser announcement shared an energetic caption celebrating the landmark tandem:
