Chinese actress Zhang Yingfei, celebrated for her viral role as Linda Walker in the hit vertical micro-drama The Heiress Who Won with Brains, arrived in Manila to participate in a series of public engagements and cultural exchange initiatives.
Her multi-day visit was organized by the Federation of Filipino Chinese Chambers of Commerce and Industry, Inc. (FFCCCII). The organization arranged the trip to strengthen people-to-people connections, boost local tourism, and promote educational excellence between the Filipino and Chinese communities.
As part of her civic itinerary, Zhang is scheduled to tour Manila’s historic districts, including the walled city of Intramuros and Binondo.
She will also participate in an educational community outreach program at Quezon City High School to encourage local students to pursue academic success.
The City of Manila hosted a welcome reception to acknowledge her growing popularity among local audiences. During her official activities, Zhang also paid a courtesy call on Manila Mayor Francisco “Isko Moreno” Domagoso at Manila City Hall to discuss cultural and tourism cooperation.
Local fans will have the opportunity to see the actress in person during a public meet-and-greet event. The session is scheduled for June 10 at 3 p.m. at the Atrium of SM North EDSA in Quezon City.
Zhang’s visit highlights the expanding cultural ties between the Philippines and China, driven by the massive popularity of short-form Asian digital dramas among Filipino viewers.
