RHIAN RAMOS, MICHELLE DEE FACE CHARGES OVER ALLEGED ASSAULT OF FORMER DRIVER

The former driver of actress Rhian Ramos officially elevated his grievances to the legal arena on Wednesday, filing criminal complaints against Ramos and beauty queens Michelle Dee and Samantha Panlilio.

The charges, lodged before the Makati Prosecutor’s Office, include slight illegal detention, unlawful arrest, and physical injuries stemming from a confrontation in January.

The complainant, identified by the alias “Totoy,” was escorted by Volunteers Against Crime and Corruption (VACC) President Arsenio “Boy” Evangelista. The group held a brief meeting at the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) Homicide Division before heading to the prosecutor’s office to formalize the claims of mauling and torture.

Evangelista explained that the four-month gap between the January incident and the filing of the case was a deliberate move to ensure a solid legal foundation.

“We are very confident na this will be a very strong case because it took NBI to collect all the materials for a very strong case that will lead to certainty of conviction.”

The controversy began in early 2024 when “Totoy” first approached the NBI, alleging he was physically assaulted and held against his will. At the time, he was reportedly accused of stealing a roll of film containing sensitive photographs of Michelle Dee.

The legal counsel for the complainant emphasized that the pursuit of these charges is a matter of principle.

“This is all about accountability and justice for Totoy.”

The respondents have yet to issue a fresh statement regarding the formal filing of the complaints.
