Janine Gutierrez has officially entered the Star Magic family after formalizing her management contract during ABS-CBN’s “Kapamilya Forever” signing event on June 2, marking a major milestone in her showbiz career.
While Gutierrez originally moved to the Kapamilya network in 2021, this marks her very first time signing under its talent management arm. She was formerly under the guidance of the late talent manager Leo Dominguez of LVD Artist Management Corporation.
Top ABS-CBN executives graced the event to witness her official welcome, including President and CEO Carlo Katigbak, Chief Operating Officer for Broadcast Cory Vidanes, and Star Magic chief and ABS-CBN TV Production head Laurenti Dyogi, alongside her industry peers.
For the actress, the transition is more than a management shift; it represents a dedicated pursuit of professional growth.
”At this stage, ang dami ko pang pangarap,” she said.
Despite boasting a prolific portfolio across television and cinema, Gutierrez stressed that she remains committed to honing her skills and embracing fresh opportunities under Star Magic’s banner.
”I want to continue to keep on growing, to learn more, and to get more opportunities na alam ko talagang ‘yun ‘yung forte ng Star Magic through years of experience,” she shared.
Gutierrez described the signing as a natural progression of her deepening relationship with ABS-CBN, noting that it will offer her stronger guidance in plotting her future projects and career trajectory.
”With this new network contract, I think perfect time and perfect opportunity na sumali na rin sa Star Magic family para talagang ma-guide ako sa next steps sa aking career and sa mga upcoming projects.”
She also praised the agency’s long-standing reputation for nurturing creative talents and helping them reach their full potential.
”Well, of course, alam ko kung gano’ng kagaling ang Star Magic talaga in taking care of their artists and teaching them and guiding them to new opportunities,” she said. “I’ve always felt the warmth of the Star Magic family even before ako maging Star Magic artist.”
Before making the leap, Gutierrez shared that she sought advice from her close inner circle, including her younger brother, Diego Gutierrez, who became part of the talent agency in 2025.
Reflecting on her professional journey, she highlighted that staying open and collaborating with others is essential to her evolving craft.
”In the beginning it would be negative to ask for help, but now I realize it is an asset for artists to do that,” she said. “I hope it is one of the things that would make me an even better actress and a better person.”
Gutierrez has previously top-billed several major ABS-CBN series, including Dirty Linen, Marry Me, Marry You, and Lavender Fields. Moving forward, she is slated to star in the highly anticipated drama series The Loyalty Game alongside her real-life partner, Jericho Rosales.
