Actor Joseph Marco has opened up about the completion and massive success of the series adaptation of the hit Wattpad novel My Husband is a Mafia Boss, calling the entire production a grueling yet deeply rewarding journey.
Marco stars as Ezekiel Roswell in the romantic crime drama alongside Rhen Escaño, who plays Aemie Romero. The series is based on the widely popular Filipino Wattpad book written by the late Diana Marie Maranan, famously known by her pen name Yanalovesyouu.
Reflecting on the show’s progression in an online post, Marco remembered when the project was nothing more than an early concept discussed during their first story conference.
He noted that it took months of intense dedication, teamwork, and personal sacrifices from everyone involved to turn that initial idea into a full-scale series.
“Just a few months ago, we were sitting in that story conference room… it was simply an idea,” he said, adding that the team could only hope they would “bring it to life the way it deserved.”
He explained that the production demanded “months of hard work, sacrifices, growth, and memories,” admitting that while the cast and crew faced moments of fatigue and uncertainty, their collective effort carried them through to the end.
Expressing his deep appreciation for the journey, Marco shared that working on the adaptation was both a massive test and an honor.
He expressed pride in how the entire team successfully transformed their shared vision into a finished product they can all stand behind.
He concluded his reflection with a playful nod to his character and hinted at what lies ahead for the fans, signing off as “Mr. and Mrs. Roswell” while teasing a potential second season.
