Digital healthcare platform mWell, operated by the Metro Pacific Group, has officially expanded its services by integrating mental health support into its mobile application through a strategic partnership with global organization MindNation.
Chaye Cabal-Revilla, President and CEO of mWell, highlighted the intrinsic link between physical and psychological wellness, emphasizing the urgent need to dismantle traditional barriers to mental healthcare in the Philippines.
“Mind health is just as important as physical health, and yet for so many Filipinos, asking for help still feels out of reach—whether because of stigma, cost, or simply not knowing where to turn. True well-being cannot exist without both,” she stated.
Cabal-Revilla further outlined the platform’s long-term vision of fostering a healthier, more resilient population.
“At mWell, we are committed to making sure that every Filipino has a place to turn to, for their body and for their mind, because a healthier Filipino is a stronger Filipino. We want every person to know that support is there for them, whenever they are ready, and that taking care of their mind is one of the most courageous things they can do for themselves,” she added.
As part of the update, the mWell app now features accessible tools for users to track their psychological well-being.
This includes the “Mind Health Score”—a feature based on the globally recognized WHO-5 Well-Being Index—alongside self-guided digital modules designed to help users manage stress and build emotional resilience.
To cater to individuals who need specialized intervention, mWell introduced the “Mind Healthsavers Plan,” offering 30-minute video sessions with certified wellness coaches.
Additionally, the platform allows users to book affordable consultations with professional psychologists and psychiatrists, aimed at reducing financial barriers to professional medical help.
By utilizing MindNation’s international network of specialists, mWell aims to deliver culturally sensitive, high-quality care. Eizaleen Fusingan-Lappay, Chief Well-Being Officer of MindNation, spoke on the broad social impact of the collaboration.
”At MindNation, we have always believed that mental health support should be something every person can reach, not a privilege reserved for the few,” Fusingan-Lappay noted.
She emphasized that the partnership scales up the availability of professional care across the country.
“Partnering with mWell brings us closer to that vision, expanding the number of qualified, compassionate specialists available to Filipinos when and where they need them most. Together, we are not just adding names to a roster. We are building a stronger, more accessible safety net for the nation’s well-being,” she said.
