MANILA, PHILIPPINES — VIBE PLUS delivered a high-energy celebration of Original Pilipino Music (OPM) as some of the country’s biggest performers, rising stars, and VIBE JOCKS took the stage for a fan-powered live music experience.
The celebration opened with the VIBE JOCKS performing “Fun,” “Shagidi,” and “DAM,” joined by special guest Upeepz Manila. The program also highlighted VIBE PLUS’ recognition as the only OPM live music countdown nominated for Best Music Programme at the 31st Asian Television Awards.
The show expressed its appreciation to the VHIES and Kapatid viewers for their continued support of VIBE PLUS and the local music scene.
Adding more energy to the celebration, StarWorx artists showcased their talents on the VIBE stage. The StarWorx boys impressed audiences with performances of “Kembot,” “Since Day One,” and “Lagabog,” while the StarWorx girls delivered a vocal showcase with “Tala.”
VIBE JOCK Ryle also marked his birthday with a special production number featuring his family and former Hashtags members. He performed “Macho Gwapito” and “Where Have You Been, My Disco” with his siblings Lorenz and Anya Tan, followed by “Kapag Tumibok Ang Puso” with his mother, Sherilyn Tan.
Ryle later reunited with former Hashtags members Tom, Jimboy, and fellow VIBE JOCK Paulo for “Isasayaw Ko.” His family and Hashtags colleagues also shared heartfelt birthday messages, celebrating Ryle’s special day and their bond with him.
Ryle expressed his gratitude to the VIBE team, including Direk Jillmer, Mr. M, and Boss MVP, for giving him the opportunity to celebrate his birthday through a memorable production on the VIBE stage.
The program continued with LEGIT VIBE, featuring the Queen of R&B, Kyla, who performed “Beautiful Days” with VIBE JOCK Gigi before delivering her well-loved hit “Hanggang Ngayon.”
The celebration reached another major highlight with the arrival of Megastar Sharon Cuneta, who was honored as the OG Star of the Week. Before her appearance, VIBE JOCKS Ana, Gigi, Carmela, and Gen V Selina paid tribute to her enduring musical legacy through performances of “Pangarap Na Bituin” and “Sana’y Wala Nang Wakas.”
Cuneta then took center stage and performed two of her iconic songs, “Maging Sino Ka Man” and “Kahit Maputi Na Ang Buhok Ko,” giving the live audience a nostalgic musical experience.
The Megastar also shared her happiness over performing before a live audience again and expressed her appreciation for being welcomed to the VIBE stage. She likewise talked about her upcoming American shows scheduled for November 13, November 15, and November 21.
As part of the celebration, Cuneta received the iconic VIBE PLUS Purple Plaque and expressed her gratitude to TV5 for the memorable experience.
Meanwhile, VIBE PLUS teased the return of its Main VIBE leaderboard, promising fans more opportunities to support and vote for their favorite OPM and P-pop artists.
