Media giants ABS-CBN and TV5 are reportedly set to forge a new partnership, roughly six months after their previous content collaboration concluded.
According to various industry sources, the deal between the Lopez-led content creator and the Pangilinan-led broadcasting network has been finalized. Insiders have described the renewed alliance as being significantly more robust than their earlier agreement.
Under the terms of the reported arrangement, the highly anticipated Kapamilya primetime series, “Coco Martin’s Sigabo,” is scheduled to premiere on TV5 on June 22 at 8:00 PM. The program will simultaneously broadcast across multiple platforms, including the Kapamilya Channel, Kapamilya Online Live, A2Z, and ALLTV.
In return, the Kapatid inspirational drama series, “My Bespren Emman,” is expected to move to an afternoon time slot and will also be broadcast across various Kapamilya Network platforms.
Sources also indicate that negotiations are currently ongoing for TV5 to allocate additional programming slots to ABS-CBN Studios. Furthermore, discussions are underway regarding the potential airing of select Kapatid programs on the Kapamilya Network’s digital platforms.
Barring any last-minute adjustments to the current plans, both media companies are expected to release a formal announcement regarding the partnership on June 16.
