TV5 has unveiled a first glimpse of one of its upcoming television projects for the year, the Philippine adaptation of the hit medical drama The Good Doctor.
Directed by Derrick Cabrido and produced through the collaboration of MQuest Ventures, Spring Films, and The IdeaFirst Company, the series marks Iñigo Pascual’s first primetime drama project with the Kapatid Network.

Joining him in the cast are Janella Salvador, Ryan Agoncillo, Gabby Padilla, Mylene Dizon, Gelli de Belen, James Blanco, Pearl Gonzales, and Jeffrey Tam.
Pascual takes on the role of Dong, a highly gifted medical resident living with autism and savant syndrome. Armed with an exceptional photographic memory and a remarkable ability to visualize human anatomy and identify rare medical conditions, Dong possesses extraordinary medical skills.

Despite his brilliance, Dong faces significant challenges in social interaction, communication, and adapting to the strict structure of hospital life because of his neurodivergence.

The story follows his journey as he enters a demanding surgical environment where he must continually prove himself to hospital executives, senior doctors, and colleagues who question whether his condition is a strength or a disadvantage.

As he navigates the pressures of the medical profession, Dong strives to earn the trust and respect of those around him while demonstrating that his abilities can make a meaningful difference in the lives of his patients.
The Philippine adaptation of The Good Doctor is set to premiere on TV5’s primetime block later this year.
